Agriculture Education

The Erie County Agricultural Society continues its commitment to agriculture education all year round.
One of the ways is through our Farm 2 Table field trip opportunities for local students that take place throughout the school year. Farm 2 Table is a hands-on experience that brings students face-to-face with various elements of agriculture and leaves them with a greater understanding of the important role agriculture plays in each and every one of our lives.

FARM 2 TABLE FIELD TRIPS
While the Erie County Fair is the main point of contact with the public in regards to agriculture education, the Erie County Agricultural Society felt that educating students outside of the 12 days of the Fair was just as important; thus Farm 2 Table began. Farm 2 Table is a field trip for students in grades K through 5th to come to the Fairgrounds in Hamburg throughout the year. The program, designed to educate students about agriculture and how food comes from the farm and ends up on their table, is produced solely by the Erie County Agricultural Society (sponsors of the Erie County Fair), to help fulfill the mission statement of the Society which is to preserve and enhance, by educational endeavors, the agricultural and historical legacy of New York State.

LITTLE SPROUTS FIELD TRIPS
Little Sprouts is a field trip program at Little Hands on the Farm and the Agriculture Discovery Center on the Hamburg Fairgrounds. The program is designed for 3-5 year olds, to teach them about the importance of agriculture in their lives through a hands-on approach.
