The clinic will take place at the Fairgrounds in Hamburg, NY. Ride a pattern with judge Daren Wright and get pointers on you and your horses specific weaknesses and strengths so you can earn points and avoid penalties in the showpen.

The clinic will consist of 4 sessions. In each session Daren will discuss the importance of pattern placement and how pattern classes are scored. Each participant will ride through a pattern selected by Daren Wright (dependent on the level of participants). After riding through the pattern the participants will receive pointers on what would be scored well and what can be improved upon and how to improve. This clinic will allow participants to know and understand pattern classes and how to receive more points and avoid penalties on maneuvers to help their scores in pattern classes.

The clinic will take place on Friday, March 14 inside the heated Showplex Arena.
The clinic has 4 separate sessions. Each session is $150 or participate in all 4 sessions for $500 (a $100 savings).

Limited to 5 riders per session.

Additional Info

• You must bring your own horse. Horses will NOT be provided.
• Stalls will be provided for horses but bedding will NOT be supplied, you must bring your own bagged shavings.
• Registration does not guarantee you a spot. You will be contacted regarding if you did or did not receive a spot. First come first served.

For just $30, come and audit Daren Wright's Ride with a Judge Clinic. The auditor experience consists of auditing the full day group clinic on Friday, March 14th from 8:00am-7:00pm in the heated Showplex Arena (no horse needed). There are bleachers and pub tables surrounding the arena that auditors may sit at to watch and listen to Daren's clinic. This experience cost will be $30 cash or card at the door, sales starting at 7:45am (no sales prior to). Unlimited spots available.

From Chillicothe, Ohio, Daren Wright has been judging for 35 years. He began as a 4-H member and collegiate judging team participant, progressing to judging both open and 4-H shows while gradually earning breed cards. Currently, Daren is carded with AQHA, APHA, NSBA, PHBA, ApHC, PtHA, ABRA, IBHA, and NASMA.

Daren has been fortunate to judge multiple World Shows for each of the organizations with which he holds judging cards. He has also had the honor of judging the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, as well as the AQHA, APHA, and NSBA World Shows. Additionally, he has judged many major events overseas in countries such as Australia, Italy, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, South Africa, France, and Sweden.

In addition to his judging career, Daren is the Director of the Equine Program at Wilmington College in Wilmington, OH. The program is home to a very large and successful IHSA Collegiate Riding Team, which has achieved significant success at both regional and national IHSA shows.
