From Chillicothe, Ohio, Daren Wright has been judging for 35 years. He began as a 4-H member and collegiate judging team participant, progressing to judging both open and 4-H shows while gradually earning breed cards. Currently, Daren is carded with AQHA, APHA, NSBA, PHBA, ApHC, PtHA, ABRA, IBHA, and NASMA.
Daren has been fortunate to judge multiple World Shows for each of the organizations with which he holds judging cards. He has also had the honor of judging the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, as well as the AQHA, APHA, and NSBA World Shows. Additionally, he has judged many major events overseas in countries such as Australia, Italy, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, South Africa, France, and Sweden.
In addition to his judging career, Daren is the Director of the Equine Program at Wilmington College in Wilmington, OH. The program is home to a very large and successful IHSA Collegiate Riding Team, which has achieved significant success at both regional and national IHSA shows.
