Festival Tips
Bundle up!
Wear a hat, hood, or scarf
to the Festival of Lights,
as most heat is lost through the head. Wear layers, as they
provide
better insulation and warmth. Keep fingertips, earlobes, and noses covered
when
outside. Keep clothing dry
, and
if a layer becomes wet, remove it.
Turn your lights down
.
For a better experience
driving
through
the light displays
, use your parking lights
only to let the light displays shine!
Tune in
to
87.9 FM!
Listen to
the Festival of Lights
Ho
Ho
Radio
for music and holiday messages.
Wash your hands!
It is recommended that you wash your hands before and after preparing and eating food, touching a surface that is
frequently
touched by other people (such as door handles), or entering or leaving a public place. Always wash your hands after using the toilet, changing a
diaper,
or cleaning up a child who has used the toilet, touching an animal, blowing your nose,
coughing,
or sneezing, or handling garbage. Restrooms are located inside the Ag-Grange Building, Expo Hall and the Winter Wonderland Workshop.
Slower is safer!
As you enjoy the Festival of Lights drive-thru, please be considerate of your speed.
Keep a safe distance and
do not
tailgate other festivalgoers. Take
road
and weather
conditions into consideration as you drive through the displays.
Cover your cough!
To prevent the spread of germs and sickness, use a tissue to cover your cough, sneeze, or into your upper sleeve.
Then wash your hands.
Establish a
safe
spot.
Before entering the Festival of Lights walk-around, consider selecting a
safe
spot for your family in case anyone gets lost.
